Dan Goldberg a real old boy bear. He considers every word before making a profound statement. He's a 20 inch 1920s American top-stitch mohair bear. Fully jointed, replaced tidy felt pads, a well done darn to back of head near his neck. He has a few extra nose stitches, nicely done, there is a frayed area although stable to top of left leg, mohair coverage good apart from backs of legs & front foot areas. Glass eyes with a very knowing face. Wearing tweedy trousers, old collar with vintage enamel link, waistcoat & old eagle thread through tie. He's a lovely old bear.

VICTORIAN DOUBLE CREAM BOW FOR ANTIQUE BEARS
A lovely condition cream lace early Victorian double bow ideal as a decoration to a bear's neck or head to accessorise a jacket or coat. These are extremely hard to find and this one is cream in excellent condition. I think if one was clever enough it could be separated to make into two single bows. Measured at widest point it is 4.3 inches across. The height at furthest point is 2.4 inches. A great item for the old bears.

Early HAND MADE very attractive cream Christening gown, heavily embroidered skirt section - in the same family since new. Scalloped hem, smocking to wrist areas - this must have been a fortune on purchase. From a Cornish home. Embroidery & silk in good condition; majority of gown good but there are rust marks to centre front of gown which may fall into a fold when on, a stain further down and some small ones elsewhere. APOLLONIUS IN LEDERHOSEN
Aopllonius is my most favourite bear as he is, in my opinion a superb bear. Almost 15 inches high, Apollonius is a c1905 rare white blank button antique Steiff bear, retaining between 85-87% of his lovely white mohair. Ted has stitched repairs around each ankle and has very pale original felt pads which have repairs, blank button in her ear, under ted's chin is a small brown mark. This bear is simply beautiful, what a fantastic looking early bear, very light weight and stocky with a mix of kapoc and woodwool.

C1908 Miss Gretchen Weiss is such a scrumptious early white, almost 10 inches in height Steiff antique bear. Her face is just so adorable. With an elongated snout which has repairs around the far end she is still very beautiful indeed. Hardly any fur remaining which doesn't matter at all as she is such a lovely little bear, repairs and inserts to felt pads. RARE CAMELLIA
Camellia is a 19" and incredibly rare lilac almost mixed with a hint of raspberry with white tips antique mohair bear most probably by Jopi and from the 1920s. If not Jopi even though foot shape is indicative of Jopi she was made by a renowned German manufacturer she has nigh on 97% of her wonderful tipped mohair which really does not come across well in the photographs. Not many coloured mohair bears have survived in keeping their full coat as it was highly dyed in those days. I have just cleaned her. She has old replaced eyes, replaced nose and mouth stitching. 3 pads are fully covered with leather over original felt, fourth has holes. Wonderful opportunity to acquire a stunning bear. AHP

POOR OLD BRAVEHEART
Poor Old Braveheart who looks like a dog got to his face and he is missing half a glass eye which suddenly disappeared, regardless of all that has happened in his 60 years or so he is in need of a lot of love and must be one of the bravest 11.8 inch Chiltern bears we have ever had the pleasure to know. Catherine Pearl is a stunner of a bear. Exquisite c1850 maybe earlier gown & bonnet with duck egg silk ribbons suitable for bear up to 17/18 inches. Very good condition for age, very pretty detail, totally finely hand stitched. Gown is 15.25 inches long; underarm all way round is 18/19 inches, sleeve openings nice and wide for a bear & equally suitable for an antique doll to wear. It has a very light stain - not that noticeable to side going around to the back but it is not that visible. A whitening agent will probably remove completely. PAIR OF C1878 BAMBOO FRAMED SMALL PICTURES TO DISPLAY BEARS/DOLLS
A very sweet pair of Bamboo framed pictures c1878 ideal for displaying with smaller antique bears or dolls especially if they are well dressed of course.. These do not have glass and would never have done as they are lightweight. One has the original blue silk ribbons to corners, I am unsure about the waxed cotton pink ones but on saying that they are still attached to the original wires at corners. Someone added the hanging loops to the backs much later on . Both have good colour although there is a small tear to top of the blue card. They are in remarkable condition and exceedingly pretty. RARE GOLLY AND PANDA ******** SPECIAL PRICE *******
On consignment: A rare 16 inch vintage celluloid face Golly c1940s with extremely good markings and nice black mohair hair surrounds his face. Wear to felt and some colour run but no holes and I believe him to be partly wood wool filled - he is a very unusual . He has been with his friend Panda for some time - C1950s cotton plush 11 inch Panda still retains his cotton plush, has nibbles to top of his left ear and has overall wear - still retains a shrill press squeaker, joints are a little stiff but he can sit and stand. Both have come in together but don't mind if they have individual parents to go to.
