C1918 CONRAD RARE BROWN STEIFF ANTIQUE CENTRE SEAM BEAR

Brown Steiff are hard to find especially as a centre seam and this dear old boy Conrad is a rare c1918 antique Steiff bear measuring 15.5 inches to ears. He has 90% mohair cover & has a very endearing expression. Conrad would once have been dark brown. NB he is not a cinnamon Steiff. He has now gently faded to a mid brown, more of a light cocoa tone. Button no longer present but he is guaranteed Steiff. There is 1 tiny stitched repair to arm and chest. Pads have inserts to original felt. With 90% mohair coverage there is slight thinning to right arm, and small loss to back thigh and small spot at neck. A wonderful rare old boy looking for a good home.

HORATIO a c1906 12ins STEIFF BEAR IN old LEE OVERALLS with PINBACK

Oh my, Horatio is such a lovely old bear - just look at his expression, c1906 Steiff with button in ear, wood wool and kapoc filled wearing Lee antique overalls & antique pin back. He has approx 85% mohair cover, original eyes and pads which only have slight tiny holes to felt on foot pads. Another lovely early Steiff which we originally supplied to one of our customers some time ago so again fresh to the market.

OTTO - RARE 5 CLAW APRICOT 12" STEIFF - HANS OTTO STEIFF signature

Wonderful early c1905 antique Steiff 5 claw 12 inch bear who would have had a blank button; no longer retaining his button he does bear the signature of "HANS OTTO STEIFF" to his foot, an absolute rarity in itself. Hans-Otto Steiff was the former President of Margarete Steiff G.m.b.H., who died aged 75 on 31st December 1994. Otto M is a pretty apricot, fully jointed, 5 claw, with a lovely happy expression. He retains apprx 90-93% mohair cover, most wear to outer arms. A sweet little chap, wood wool & kapoc stuffed. A couple of stitches may have been added to his nose & mouth at some point in his lifetime.

THOMAS "Floppy Ears" CRICKET

Dear Thomas is a totally adorable large mohair 27 inch American 1920s teddy bear, he loves cricket so he wears his cricket themed tank top, vintage trousers & a scarf in case he's on a chilly pitch. Thomas has lovely floppy ears and a nice long snout. 2 pads have inserts, 1 is all original & the 4th has a hole which is stable. To top inner left thigh there is a repair very high up (stable). He has approx 95% mohair cover with a tiny bit of mohair loss to right upper chest near arm seam. He is an extremely handsome American ted with a kind face.

BOBBY BLUE SEAS

Dear Bobby is a 15 inch light blue 1930s Chiltern bear who is all original condition, linen pads, without any holes, original eyes, nose and mouth stitching. With 95% mohair coverage he has the sweetest look. There is brighter blue in his joints and inner ears and he is now a pale blue with pretty much even cover throughout. Bobby is a good size at 15 inches for a 1930s coloured Chiltern bear.

FERRIS SQUEAK an early 1900s GERMAN VELVET BUNNY RABBIT

Such a very sweet early 1900s antique German velvet Rabbit, similar to Steiff. Ferris used to have a working side squeaker but it has now worn out over his long life; his velvet does not have any holes, just age wear. He even retains his little bobtail. Ferris is 6.25 inches in length x 3.25 inches high plus his ears. A delightful little chap ideal in size to fit into any collection.

MISS MARNIE BONNET 17 inch antique Bear

Miss Marnie is a 17 inch c1940s vintage teddy bear wearing her very tight vintage exceedingly attractive dress and a beautifully decorated bonnet. She must have lost 1 ear in her life and the original has been split into two but there are no backs to her ears so these are rather thin! She is fully jointed with a hole naively attempeted to eb reapired clsoe to her right arm joint, she's a lovely good sized old girl who is willing to live anywhere!

EZRA ALMADINE RARE CREAM EARLY FARNELL ANTIQUE BEAR

Ezra Almadine is a very rare, now cream early antique 21 inch ( to tips of ears) Farnell bear. He was probably off white on manufacture but he's now a beautiful aged cream. Ezra retains 95% mohair cover, his original webbed pads and feet have been cleverly underlined; there is wear to snout with some holes to snout end. Early cream Farnell bears are very rare and apart from main wear to snout which is stable he is a beautifiul bear with a very gentle expression. He wears a lovely ornate cutwork cape which suits him well with vintage "E" initial brooch.

TONTO A BEAUTIFUL GREY TIPPED LARGE JOPI ANTIQUE DOGGIE

Tonto is a large antique Jopi swivel headed doggie in very nice condition with hard to find silver and grey tipped mohair, he is adorable! Tonto is 12 inches high to his wired ears and approx 14 inches in length plus the tail!. He has 97% mohair coverage and all original. Foot felt pads still present with one which has a hole. He is a very handsome dog and doesn't bark so will fit in well.

C1919 VERY RARE EARLY BING PYGMYPHONE - IN A BEAR SIZE!

A wonderful c1919 BING PYGMYPHONE approx 6 inches square x 3 inches high, the horn etc detaches so it can be neatly srtored within the tin - these are great items to display with bears and are becoming harder to find. There is a key to wind it up with original needle. It will play but centre slot of record is missing so a replacement record is be ideal for bears to be able to enjoy dancing to; pictures to 3 sides, Elves to front, Red Riding Hood and the Big Bad Wolf to 1 side and Minstrels with Banjos to 3rd side. Hello … MY NAME is T-E-D-D-Y with rare WHITE 5322 STOCK TAG!!

Teddy is another early c1906 bear which we originally supplied a few years ago. He has his Steiff button in ear with 5322 white stock tag which dates him to around 1906. At present his side squeaker is even working. Teddy is a 12 inch old bear with his Teddy dungarees. Retaining almost all of his pretty "teddy bear" colour mohair which has a tinge of apricot to it. Original pads, very tiny odd flea bite to 3 and 4th has a really tiny insert hardly noticeable. There is a red discolour to top of Teddy's foot, a little loss of mohair at top of neck. This is yet another fantastic Teddy bear.

NAOMI

A very sweet c1907/1908 antique Steiff 14 inch bear with STEIFF button in ear. Naomi retains approximately 60% mohair coverage and is a very pretty old bear. Fully jointed, original pads with small inserts. She has a stitchhed repair to her back and a miniscule incredibly tiny piece inserted near her shoulder. She has an old clonky non working growler. Nose and mouth stitching I believe to have been re-embroidered, totally in keeping with Steiff original. Wearing her beautiful rayon antique dress she is a lovely bear in strong condition.
