BAMBOO & SHOOT - Rare Pair of Chiltern Labelled Pandas

It is always unusual to ever find a pair of anything the same but these two 6 inch vintage Red on white Chiltern labelled Pandas are totally the same - in fact they are twins! Labels read Chiltern Hygienic Toys, Made in England. Both are unjointed and totally delightful, they look great sitting on a bigger bear's lap as well. In very good condition overall. Some tiny holes to black felt ears. The black is a good "black". Tocchi the Steiff is sold.

"SWEET FACE" SEAHAWK C1906 STEIFF 13 ins BEAR with Button in Ear

"Sweet Face" an almost 13 ins c1906 antique Steiff bear with button in ear is just so cute, retaining at least 90-95% mohair cover. He is wood wool & kapoc stuffed; Steiff button in ear, original eyes & felt pads, only 1 foot pad has a very tiny hole; he has nice longer length soft mohair and a totally sweet face. Seahawk either has an insert or stitched repair to right front leg. I have shown his leg - all the mohair matches so I am unsure if it has just been gathered and re stitched. It is very neatly done. He is a wonderful looking early Steiff teddy bear with such great coverage.

BUSTER "GIMME SWEETS" FOURACRES

Buster is a wonderful 1920/30s early Chiltern 21 inch old bear who has a fantatsic outloook on life always being happy and very partial to sweets hence him having BIG eyes. 1 eye is replaced but the same size as the original. Buster has 95% mohair coverage, original linen pads with a little wear. He has ahint of peach tone to hsi mohair, ovearll excellent covearge, slight fading to part of outer left arm and one tiny area to chest and toes! A lovely odl boy who will always bring a smile and keen for lots of cuddles.

Pocket is a c1950s cotton plush 6.25 ins vinatge European bear with pin jointed legs and arms and a fixed head. She is a great size to sit on a bigger ted's lap. With acute little afce she is very adorable.

An EXTREMELY RARE 1930s Chad Pink MAGNA almost 22 inches high.This is the very first Chad Pink Magna we have ever seen, such a rarity and a nice large size. Stronger colour to back than the front. A BEAUTIFUL OLD EARLY 21 inch WHITE STEIFF BEAR with Button in ear

A beautiful old WHITE 21 inch antique Steiff Bear still retaining her button in ear. She is a large size being almost 21 inches to ears & she still retains her Steiff button in ear. She has a lot of wear but has quite a good mohair cover to her back and even 1 odd eye which was a later addition and it is opaque - she is a very endearing bear looking bear with an almost tear drop shaped face, wearing her pretty bootees, vintage dress and antique flower arrangement. EDWINA 18.5 inch Early Farnell antique Bear

Edwina is an incredibly solid wood wool filled early antique mohair Farnell bear measuring 18.5 inches to tips of ears & a chunky oldbear wearing her beautiful fine lawn Victorain dress with vintage flowers. She has approx 85% nice light gold wavy mohair, all 4 pads have been replaced with linen & web claw stitching neatly replaced. Restoration carried out by the expertise of Dot Bird, namely work to snout, some upper chest stitched repairs, 1 stitched repair to back of 1 arm and 1 small insert to back of arm, 2 stitched repairs to left outer arm, small insert to 1 leg. VERY PRETTY VINTAGE C1940s/50s era AZALEA TIN

A wonderful wide but shallow c1940s/50s tin with azaleas which appear to be coming out from the tin, it is really most attractive, there are some rust marks to the lid and tin but I must admit I don't think I have ever seen a tin which has been this eyecatching. Looks lovely displayed with vintage bears or for keeping those special keepsakes. Measurements to follow:

1909 RARE SILVER TEDDY BROOCH 2.6cms High

These antique Teddy brooches are getteing harder to find and this one is actually from my own collection; the Teddy himself is 2.6cms high, so much bigger than the little charms. There are a few dinks but he is a dear little chap and he is hallmarked and still retains original pin.

ADORABLE VICTORIAN JACKET

A definite one off Victorian jacket which probably once adorned a Jumeau, as it has wide arm openings, therefore ideal for an antique bear. The fabric has wool content and is lined in off white, there are a few moth holes to the jacket but it is probably c1860 so is actually very good for its age. C1920s/30s RARE GERMAN FRAMED GIRL WITH "BULLY"

An extremely hard to find picture with a Girl and "BULLY" Doggie possibly a Steiff Bully. The image is nice and clear. Frame is approx 10 inches x 8 inches. Bully is on the little girl's lap playing with his ball by the looks of things. There is soem water marking to corners and teh frame is in used condition but this is a wonderful item as a back drop if you ahve either 1 Bully or a collection and it is German of course. VINTAGE MUSLIN BLUE & CREAM SUNFLOWER DRESS WITH LINED BODICE

A very attractive vintage hand made muslin dress with a lined bodice made for a doll but eequally suitable for an old bear. Snap fastener opening to the back for easy access. In nice condition mesauring 14.5 inches in length and 14.3 inches all around at underarm. Shoulder to shoulder measures 6.7 inches. Sleeve length from underarm to wrist is 6.1 inches. A pretty item indeed especially for adark or light coloured bear to wear. NIce wide sleeves to.

C1940s LOVELY organza/flock dress for old bears and dolls

A very attractive soft green organza/flock dress in a white flower design with green bow. Overall in very good condition for its age with a slight fray near chest arm seam. Apart from that it is in good vintage condition. Ideal for old bears or dolls to wear it measures length of 11.25 inches; underarm all way round 15 inches, sleeve length from underarm to wrist is 4.5 inches with wide arm openings for a bear I think maximum fit would be for up to a 17 inch tall old bear but please measure your own ted for accurate fit.

RARE 1936 EDWARD V111 CORONATION CORSAGE FOR OLD BEARS

A very rare 1936 Edward the V111th Coronation pinback with corsage. Edward abdicated in 1937 so only reigned for 12 months. The actual picture part is a pin back with good colour, in fact it is all good in colour and easy to pin onto an old bear's jacket or clothing. The flower is alittle fragile to one side but perfectly okay once in situe.

RARE AMERICAN C1911/1912 ROOSEVELT BEARS GLASS PLATE

A rare piece of Early antique bear history a c1911/1912 American heavy clear glass plate featuring the two Roosevelt bears at the top draping the natural plate curve. Overall in excellent condition for its 100 years. The plate has 1 teeny nick which is hardly noticeable at all. There is a slight imperfection to glass centre as shown but this was formed from hand blowing at manufacture. The bears look as though they are coming out of the glass and we have never seen one like it before. There are some age old surface scratches to the middle of plate but overall this is really a fine rare piece.

LOVELY VINTAGE SUITCASE IDEAL FOR OLD BEARS DISPLAY

A lovely small vintage suitcase which seems to be painted to the inside.. Ideal for old bear display or storing their bits and pieces. There are a couple of stickers to the front which add to its charm, it opens but there si no key to lock it which might be a good thing to stop thw bears having secret things stashed inside.

HAMLET a Studious School Boy!

Hamlet is a wonderful early American mohair bear with overall wear but immaculately dressed in his antique hand made flannel suit old shirt with atching braces to keep hsi trousers neatly in place. Hamlet has been wearing his tailor made outfit for many a year and I suspect it was made especially for him. He likes a little Shakespeare so we gave him a "poetic" special badge. Hamlet is almost 13 inches, so very cute!

A pretty, antique rayon dress dating to the 1920s shown on our white FArnell. Dress has niec detail and shodul fit abear up to 20/21 inches and thsi si modelled by our white Farnell who is very furry, she can be seen on her own page

EARLY STEIFF SWEATER

An early antique Steiff sweater in red and cream in loved condition to fit up to an 11 inch early Steiff bear. It has wear and is not perfect condition but still strong, ideal for the more loved old teds to wear.

ALL IN ONE OUTFIT FOR 10 -11 inch (STEIFF BUILD) OLD BEARS

A nice heavy fabric ( actually a milky coffee colour) which has been carefully tea dyed giving in a light antique effect. Shown on our 11 inch old Steiff bear - suitable - without being as tight a fit on a 10 inch or so old Steiff bear. It is made to look old - a few stitches have come away to shoulder seam but apart from this it is excellent condition as I have never dispalyed it.

WILLOW THE POORLY LITTLE STEIFF GIRL with STEIFF button

Willow, a very sweet but poorly 9.5 inch c1906/7 antique Steiff bear with button in ear. She has mohairr wrapped over her arms and I have no idea what is under there, she still has her wrists & pads poking through the ends; all 4 pads are in excellent condition, there is a mohair patch to side of right face profile and lower down a split across neck which could do with gluing, all joints work and above all she is just a beautiful looking early Steiff with her button. She has been in a smoking environment so will need airing. One hole to side of snout as well as restitched nose and mouth, despite all this she is a beautiful old bear.

BABY HUGO c1926 ANTIQUE STEIFF 17.5 inch BEAR WITH BUTTON IN EAR

Hugo is the kind of bear you just want to pick up and cuddle as he is a real baby both in looks and temperament. A late 1920s antique bear with Steiff button in ear, Hugo has a lot of wear to his palest of blonde wool plush but is a bear with the most expressive face & his eyes tend to sparkle at you making him very life like. He wears his old lederhosen, vintage jacket & knitted vest with a more recent pin back. A truly delightful old Steiff boy.
